Summer Internship - Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist (based in our Dunedin office)
About the role
Working alongside other junior, intermediate and senior staff, you will be responsible for undertaking geotechnical projects from investigation stage through to construction. Projects are variable but will generally include geotechnical investigations, geotechnical analysis/design, reporting and construction supervision. Mentoring and training will be provided by experienced intermediate and senior staff.
The successful applicant will have:
A strong academic track records in both school and higher education
A strong understanding of engineering geology and/or geotechnical principles and soil mechanics;
High level of spoken and written literacy;
Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word;
Good organisational skills, including multitasking of self and the ability to meet deadlines;
Aspirations to become a chartered geotechnical engineer or chartered engineering geologist;
