We are looking for a H&S Coordinator to join our Dunedin head office.

The Role

With the growth we have been experiencing, we have an opportunity for a qualified health and safety coordinator to join our Dunedin-based team.

This an excellent opportunity to take an innovative, accredited HSMS to the next level in a part-time, flexible role with reliable hours and room to grow.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of GeoSolve’s integrated health and safety management system, including advising the management team on compliance with relevant legislation, guidance and best practice;

  • Bring GeoSolve’s Tōtika-accredited HSMS into compliance with ISO 45001, including participating in an annual external audit in conjunction with the Quality Manager;

  • Day-to-day support of our operational staff, including coordination of procedure and policy development, review of Site-Specific Safety Plans, overseeing our contractor management system, regular reporting, coordinating health and safety training and monitoring/on-site audits, and more.

Skills and Experience

  • Registered with a HASANZ member body at a professional level

  • Experience in implementing an ISO 45001-compliant management system

  • A track record demonstrating leadership, innovation, pragmatism and results

  • Intermediate-level skill using MS Word and Excel

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proactive and positive approach to issue resolution

  • Collaborative methodology to working with a variety of teams

There is also an opportunity to add additional hours and responsibilities to this role in a full-time capacity, through work with our innovative Pavements team, carrying out the processing and analysis of field-collected data; on-the-job training will be provided if this is desirable.

The role will require a minimum of 20 hours per week on a permanent basis, with additional hours required from time to time. 

The successful candidate will be required to possess a full driver's license consistent with driving regulations in New Zealand.
